New Life Christian Church is a growing, community-focused congregation in Winchester, Virginia, averaging approximately 450 people each Sunday. Founded in 1997, New Life has grown from meeting under a picnic shelter to a thriving multi-building campus, including a modern 350-seat worship facility opened in 2022.
New Life is deeply committed to serving its community and creating a church culture where staff, volunteers, students, and families genuinely do life together. About the Student Ministry
Approximately 25–35 students participate on a typical Sunday.
Students gather during both Sunday morning services, with middle and high school gatherings on Sunday evenings.
An established team of approximately 15 adult volunteers serves throughout the ministry.
Students actively participate in worship, children's ministry, VBS, church-wide serving opportunities, and community projects.
The ministry participates in experiences such as CIY MIX and MOVE and emphasizes developing students as leaders within the larger church.
The Opportunity
New Life is looking for a Student Pastor who is a leader of leaders. Rather than building a ministry dependent on one person's personality or abilities, the next Student Pastor will equip volunteers and students to take meaningful ownership of the ministry.
The new leader will inherit an established group of students, committed volunteers, supportive church leadership, and significant potential for continued growth.

The candidate should be comfortable teaching Scripture and serving as the primary communicator within the student ministry.

Church Overview
Compass Christian Church is a large, multi-site church in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex with deep roots in the community. Originally established decades ago, the church relaunched as Compass Christian Church in 2002 and transitioned to a multi-site model in 2010. Today the church serves approximately 8,000 people in person each week and reaches 11,000–12,000 when including its online community.
The North Fort Worth campus—located in an affluent Dallas–Fort Worth suburb—reflects a culture of high expectations and strong family engagement. The church environment blends contemporary ministry with conservative theology, similar in style to churches like North Point. Student ministry at the North Fort Worth campus is a significant and influential part of the church, drawing 250–400 students weekly and supported by approximately 65 volunteer leaders. The ministry currently brings middle school and high school students together and centers discipleship around small groups. As Compass looks toward the future, the church desires to strengthen the ministry beyond strong events and build a holistic model of student discipleship that can serve as a benchmark for other campuses.

Founded in 1880, the church averages between 450 and 500 people in weekly attendance and serves a growing community of both blue-collar and white-collar families. The church is committed to biblical teaching, discipleship, church planting, and helping people become fully engaged in the life and mission of the church.
Jefferson has embraced a unified contemporary worship style that blends modern worship music with updated arrangements of familiar hymns. With a healthy team of approximately 40 worship and production volunteers already in place, the church is seeking a Worship Minister who will build upon that strong foundation through servant leadership, intentional volunteer development, and a heart for the local church.

The ideal candidate is a humble, relational leader who loves both people and the local church. They are a confident worship leader, a capable musician, and an organized ministry leader who understands that great worship ministry is built through preparation, collaboration, and consistent follow-through. Rather than arriving with all the answers, this person will take time to understand Jefferson’s culture, earn trust, and lead with both conviction and humility. Demonstrated experience leading contemporary worship in a church setting.
Strong vocal ability with primary proficiency on guitar; keyboard proficiency is a plus.
Experience recruiting, developing, and leading worship and production volunteers.
Working knowledge of worship technology, including digital audio consoles, presentation software, tracks, and livestreaming.
